Communication Bible Journal Printable

Hello Creative friends, the June printable is out and it’s all about communication with God…also known as prayer! Since this topic could go in many directions I chose to focus on the communication aspect this month. The main point is that even though we have many amazing forms of communication, we don’t need any of it to talk to God!

As I worked on this page I was reminded about the importance of  praying continually and going to God first instead of talking to Him in emergencies only. When life gets busy, it’s so easy to remember Him only when we need help. I need to let Him be in control of the wheel at all times and not the spare tire in my life. Also, let me pray with confidence and faith for what I am asking. This page is based on the following verses,

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.  Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” James 1:5-8

On a scale of one to ten how would you rate yourself in how much you persevere in prayer? Are you like the woman who wouldn’t stop pestering the judge until he gave her what she asked for? (Luke 18:1-8) Or do you give up easily thinking you shouldn’t bother God? I think many of us give up too easily and it’s time to change that! What is hindering your prayers? Are you willing to wrestle against it??

I would of liked a verse that talked about perseverance in prayer but my bible is filling up so I used the following…

“Rejoice always,  pray continually,  give thanks in all circumstances;for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18-18

For this page I used the prayer stencil set to go along with the printable. I love how this page reminds me of the “wireless” connection I have with God through Jesus. I love even more that the connection never malfunctions like my internet at home!!

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 4:2

Have you sent out your S.O.S signal to God yet? He is willing and waiting to save you. Call Him!!

And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved…Joel 2:32a
