To make your own mini stitch art journal follow these simple steps:

Step One: Color every page of the book with your choice of inks.

Step Two: Cut pieces of fabric to fit between the stitching of each journal page and adhere them with strips of the fabric sheet adhesive.

Step Three: Create two extra pages to add to your journal by adhering together two pieces of fabric. The size of the pages is up to you, mine are slightly smaller than the journal.

Step Four: Insert the two extra pages. The first can be glued inside one of the seems while the other can be attached with safety pin.

Step Five: Rub some fabric paint onto some of the pages to add bursts of color.

Step Six: Use some background stamps and inks to add texture to the fabric.

Step Seven: Use watered down gesso to tone down any area that you find too bright.

Step Eight: Embellish your journal by doing some of the following:

-use the stencil to trace some flowers and leaves out of dictionary pages as well as fabric.

-make some ribbon flowers by adhering the end of the ribbon to the center of the Glüber and twist the ribbon around itself in a circular motion until it has formed a flower.

-Adhere buttons the the center of the flowers and use twine for the stems.

-Use the Sharpie to add quotes to your journal.

-Color the birds with ink and use a Sharpie to outline it.

-Decorate the tag with inks and a stamped image, adhere one of the birds to it.

-Add bunched up ribbon to form borders on some of the pages.

-Use some of the previously made fabric leaves to add a wing to the birds.

-To create the front cover flower trace and cut three extra sunflowers for a total of six flowers, pinch the center of each one and adhered all the tips together in the middle.
