Cheese Cloth Canvas

Hello friends,
I’ve been thinking about cheese cloth lately. Kind of silly I know but I’ve been wanting to make flowers out of it and since it also gives great texture I decided to put it my canvas as well. Grab a soda because this is a long one!
Step One: Spread gesso on your canvas and cover it with a layer of cheese cloth. Spread more gesso on top.
Step two: Make a bottle of Misty Spray using water and Gelato. You can find the recipe on the Design Memory Craft blog.
Spray your canvas with it.
Step Three: Once your canvas is dry rub a different color of Gelato over the surface.
Step Four: With a wet paint brush rub the Gelato into the canvas.
Step Five: Cut strips of cheese cloth in different sizes.
Step Six: Rub Gelato into your strips of cheese cloth.
Spray them with water.
Step Seven: Use your fingers to rub the Gelato into the cheese cloth.
You can add a second color before moving on.
Step Eight: Roll your strips of cheese cloth into flowers.
Step Nine: Spread a layer of gel medium over your canvas. Do the sides as well.
Step Ten: Drape another piece of cheese cloth across your canvas.
Step Eleven: Place your flowers on your canvas. Use gel medium to adhere them.
Step Twelve: Use a black Big Brush Pen to shade the edges of your canvas.
Step Thirteen: Add color to the top layer of cheese cloth using a Big Brush Pen.
Step Fourteen: Add other embellishment.
Step Fifteen: Make a dotted pattern with gesso
Step Sixteen: Spray the gesso dots with water and allow to drip.
Step Seventeen: Rub some gesso in random spots over your canvas and you are done!
Hope you enjoyed this long tutorial, see you next time!
