Hello blogger friends,

Today’s canvas comes from a wounded place in my heart that I hesitate to share with the world.  A place of bondage that I wish to be freed from. A place that has been slow in healing. This canvas brings me hope.  I made it back in January but the idea came last October after I had gone on a healing retreat. I haven’t shared it online yet because I struggle with the words to explain all the feelings that brought this painting to life. This canvas is based on the first part of Isaiah 43:12 which says: “ First I predicted your deliverance” 
Knowing that God has already predicted my freedom helps me to walk in that freedom. 

I have lived most of my life with an impenetrable wall of bricks surrounding my heart. For the last ten years or so, the bricks have been falling one by one as I have opened myself up and allowed the Lord to heal me. He has broken down the wall surrounding my heart  to allow life to flow from it. The butterflies represent new life and change. They were there all along but needed to be set free. Once the wall is down it allows the light (His light) to shine through and the flowers (good fruit) can grow unhindered. Of course the ultimate goal is to have no wall left at all but for now I will be thankful for the large gaping hole that allows love to be received and given.
