Freedom Friday-I am Precious

Hello creative friend!
This is week six of twenty in my Freedom Friday posts on Identity in Christ. These blog posts are based on my I Am Journal and I hope you are joining me on this journey whether you own the journal or not.
Our truth topic today is: I am precious!

Today I want to talk to you about how precious you are; ie your preciousness. Do you think that you are valuable, of great value, of great worth, not to be treated carelessly, high priced, highly esteemed, costly, expensive, rare, important, unique and one of a kind? You probably don’t see yourself that way but God most certainly does. I think that if you haven’t been or are not being treated as someone who is precious, it’s difficult to believe that you are. I’m sure that we’ve all been treated carelessly at one point or another. When that happens repeatedly, the lie that we are worthless gets cemented in our hearts. How do we get passed that?

First, we must forgive those who have trampled on our hearts, there is no other way. As long as we hold on to offenses, we make it impossible to truly move on. Tweet that!

Once we forgive, we have the ability to let the person go from our grip. The weight that was heavy on your shoulders gets released and no longer weighs you down. It’s helpful to tell the Lord how hurt you are and what the transgression against you has cost you. He already knows but it helps you come into reality instead of continuing to bury your pain. Allow God to heal your heart, allow Him to tell you how it breaks His heart too when His child is mistreated. He is a loving and perfect Father. He is your Defender ( “The Lord is your mighty defender, perfect and just in all his ways; Your God is faithful and true; he does what is right and fair. Deuteronomy 32:4) and He will not turn a blind eye at what has been done to you. You are so precious to Him!! You are so precious but as long as you are holding on to the lies that you are worthless it will be difficult to see just how precious you are. I want to encourage you to read my very favorite verse,

Isaiah 43:1-4

But now, this is what the Lord says— He who created you, (insert your name) he who formed you, (insert your name): “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers (insert your name), they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you (insert your name), I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.

Let those words soak into your spirit, let the One who made you hold you in His arms and tell you just how precious you are.
And I may or may not know you but I think you are precious too!

“You are precious and valuable to the God who chose you, redeemed you, and loves you as His own”

Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. (Isaiah 43:4)
