Hello creative friend!
This is week eight of twenty in my Freedom Friday posts on Identity in Christ. These blog posts are based on my I Am Journal and I hope you are joining me on this journey whether you own the journal or not.
Our truth topic today is: I am firmly rooted in Christ!

I love words. I especially love synonyms. When I look for synonyms, I get excited when I discover a deeper meaning to the words that I’m studying. The word rooted is especially exciting to me! To be rooted means to establish deeply and firmly, to be embedded, fixed, entrenched and ingrained. According to the MacMillan Dictionary to be rooted means that if one thing is rooted in another, it is based on it, has developed from it, or is influenced by it. If you are based on the love of Christ, you are built on it, rooted in it, grounded on it and established on that love. To be developed in the love of Christ means that you are growing, advancing and progressing in it, you are maturing, emerging, evolving, flourishing and blooming in it. To be influenced by the love of Christ means that you are affected by it, guided and controlled by it, shaped, governed, changed, altered and transformed by it. The love of Jesus should have a huge impact on you! Wow, that’s a lot of words. I did warn you! Do these words convince you of how much Jesus loves you?
That love is where the power of transformation comes from. Knowing that we are rooted in this kind of love, perfect love, changes everything. When we know how much we are loved, we have no reason to fear. Tweet That!
1 John 4:18 says “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” When we live in fear it is a form of torment or punishment. It’s not a good place to be! You have not been given a spirit of fear but of LOVE, POWER, and a SOUND MIND!! (2 Timothy 1:7) Friend, is it possible that if you feel like you’re loosing your mind that maybe it’s because you have no idea how loved you are? I pray that you will be strengthened to understand just how huge the love of Christ is for you! Getting to the root of a problem is essential in discovering why it’s there in the first place. If you struggle to believe that you are loved, ask your daddy in heaven to show you why. Invite Him to heal that area of your life. He is willing and waiting to make you whole. He’s a gentleman and will not force you into wholeness. Be willing friend, it is so worth it!
“What is firmly rooted in Christ cannot be pulled out”
May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! (Ephesians 3:16-19 AMPC)
Here are biblical declarations that you can read out loud every day. Declare truth over yourself daily and you will soon believe it! I have included a free printable for you to use, enjoy it!
