Hello blogger friends!
Welcome to Gina’s Designs Blog Hop!
Since April 15 – 21 is World Creativity & Innovation Week, Gina’s Designs decided to hold a blog hop in celebration of Creativity! We challenge everyone to try something new and craft outside their comfort zone. In keeping with this theme, each of our Design Team members will be unveiling a project that includes a technique that is new to them. So hop over to each blog, check out the fun new techniques, and enter to win the prizes. When you have finished the hop, be sure to go back to Gina’s Designs and leave a comment so we know you completed the hop. In order to be eligible for our grand prize you need to complete the hop, follow Gina’s Designs blog (if you are not already a follower) and like Gina’s Design on Facebook. You have until 1 am central time on April 22nd to complete the hop. Have Fun and Good Luck!

Here is my project for this hop,
I have a confession to make. Although I used a new technique for my project it wasn’t exactly out of my comfort zone. I kind of forgot about that part and to be honest, I’m a little crazy in the craft room so there isn’t much out of my comfort zone when it comes to chipboard! I hope that you’ll try this technique!
Step One: Paint your chipboard with a layer of gesso or white paint.
Step two: Once your chipboard is dry, stamp it with a script.

Step three: Stamp a bold pattern with embossing ink, cover the ink with clear embossing powder and heat set.
Step four: Use a blending tool to apply distress ink to the chipboard.
Step five: Use a paper towel to remove any ink away from the embossed areas.
Add a little Walnut Stain Distress ink the the edges of your chipboard.
Finish your project with more awesome pieces from Gina’s Designs!
Your next stop on the hop is Monica.

Marjolaine, I know exactly what you mean about being a little crazy in the craftroom. I’m willing to try almost anything (as a lot of my clothes can attest). Gesso is awesome! From the first time that I tried it last year, I have never been without a bottle or two! Great project, I love it.
Awesome creation! I have never used gesso…gasp!
