Gina’s Designs with Resin Jewelry

Hello friends!
For today’s project I want to show you something totally different that can be done with chipboard. My laser cuts from Gina’s Designs are so beautiful that I would love to wear them! What perfect timing that I just took an Ice Resin class and came home with plenty of resin to play with!Warning: this project is a little on the “different” side!

Due to the fact that I did not have any bezels lying around I decided to use a lid from a pasta jar. I covered the bottom with a piece of background paper. Any paper would work.

Next I used my Stamper’s Big Brush Markers to colour my chipboard pieces.
Once dry I used a Tim Holtz Script to stamp on the pieces.

Using Helmar 450, I glued pieces of a broken necklace all around the inside of my lid.

I sealed each piece with decoupage glue.

Using the 450 glue I adhered two pieces to the bottom of the lid.

Using my prepared Ice Resin, I poured one layer and allowed to dry overnight.
The next day I added the rest of the embellishments followed by another layer of Ice Resin.
I attached an old necklace to it to make it wearable and painted the outside of the metal lid with Patina paint from Ranger.

Next I want to try Ice Resin without a bezel. Not sure if it’s going to work but I have a laser cut Eiffel Towel just screaming to be worn around my neck and I would like it to stand alone!
