This Printery collection from Prima Marketing is one of my favourites. I love the vintage feel of it and the flowers are so beautiful.
I wanted to use this album as a journal so I’ve left a lot of room for writing as well as adding little flip pages to add hidden journaling.
This circle is acrylic, I just love how it turned out.
This is a piece of sticky back canvas with an image transfer on it using one of the papers. To do this I put the image I wanted face down on the sticky side of the canvas. I then burnished the back of the image with a craft scrapper to make sure it was adhered really well. After that I sprayed the whole area with water and rubbed the paper off with my finger. What I was left with was a nice piece of canvas that looks like fabric.
On the back of the canvas I used Dyan Reaveley’s stencil from The Crafters Workshop along with Walnut Stain Distress Ink from Ranger.
The ribbon is from American Crafts and the ties are from my husband’s garage!
Now to get to the important part…the writing!
In today’s ultramodern world, many moms-to-be are actually loving being pregnant–and even flaunting it proudly. They don’t try to hide their growing shapes as we did years ago. In fact, many pregnant women are having their photos taken as their babies (and their bellies) grow. Many scrapbooking layouts are of just such photos. Not for everyone, certainly, but for those who do chose to document this special time in this way, how perfect would a mini album be…like this very one shown here. Delicate, soft and feminine with room for small photos and special thoughts along the way. This would not be an album for the coffee table, but one that the mom would treasure. I would suggest that this *not* be a baby album with rattles and buttons and bows…it should be a woman’s album and would be about things only a woman knows. Thanks for sharing this album with us!!
