Hello friends,
Today begins my 52 week journey to go deeper with God, if you would like to join me go to His Kingdom Come and you will find all the information there. There’s many different art groups to join, I am taking part in the mixed media group. I made a quick video of the process of making these pages. My desire is to focus on the study and not worry so much about the art. That is why I chose a junk journal… it’s messy like me!
Some of the highlights for me this week were:
-Transformation is a dramatic change.
-I’m on a journey to becoming more like Christ and that requires a heart change, true and deep
-Willingness requires sacrifice.
-Transformation of the heart starts in the mind and the mind needs to be renewed.
-Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
January’s theme is transformation. I like that a lot better than new year resolutions! Good intentions don’t usually get me far. This year it’s about heart change!

Thanks for sharing your process. I love your junk journal. I’m excited about starting this. Not sure which way I’ll go, I want to get back to my drawing & I want to do some mixed media. I love to scrapbook so who knows I might do all three!

Hi! I LOVE the idea of a junk journal. Did you do the background as part of your original prep work or is it left over papers from something else? Trying to figure out best way to make my own junk journal for this type of projetct! Thanks
Hi Erin, thanks for your comment. Yes, the background was done ahead of time. I adhered some papers, smeared some gesso and rolled on some paint with a brayer. Sadly, all the footage for it was lost. I have realized that there’s a problem with my camera so my videos for the month of January might have issues. I have ordered a new recording device and once I get it I think I will need to make a new junk journal video!
