As usual I started with some scraps, finding some that matched my stickers. My flowers are made out of garbage, really cool zippers that I ripped of some little pouches that my buttons came in. They “happened” to be the right colours. I wanted to use a white background so I added a little life to it by using a stencil and some spray inks.
To add a little more life to my stickers I covered them with a layer of Glossy Accents to make them look like epoxy stickers. I added foam squares to the back of the word Wild to bring it out. I also cut the heads off the safety pins to make them more grown-up. (they’re on the top left-hand side of the photo)
These are not the kind of words that I would usually use to describe myself but it’s what I had to work with. It kind of goes with the photo. Every year at our family reunion in September we have a costume party and I’m always a bit grumpy during the preparation and trying to have the whole family agree on a theme. I do it because I refuse to be a party pooper even though the whole thing ends up driving me crazy. I also do it because it’s my kids one chance at a dress up party since we do not celebrate Halloween.
This is what I had to work with. It would of been a lot easier to do a layout about one of my babies turning one but I wanted to show you (and mostly myself) to think outside the box. In the past I never would of used something like this in a different way then it was intended. But now I’m just a WILD wonderful mama who likes to do crazy things! By the way, what do you think of the exclamation mark??!!

Wow, what a fresh, whimsical LO using old stash and things other would have thrown out like the zippers from button pouches!! Love it! Thanks for joining us for the Weekend Warm-Up at ScrapFIT! ~ Blessings
