Hello creative friends, I’ve teamed up today with the Designer Craft Connection and SRM Stickers to bring you this bible journaling post. In my excitement to try this napkin technique for the first time, I completely forgot to take step out photos so you’ll have to use your imagination!
You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3
In total honestly, I’m not a sticker person…at least not until now! I use letter stickers a lot but that’s about it. I really enjoyed using these and plan on having more in my stash. I love how they blend onto the page seamlessly and look like they belong there.
My pages were quick and super easy to do. The hardest part was finding a bible verse for all the stickers I wanted to use on one page!! Isaiah 26 was perfect, it talks about trust, peace, faith, rejoicing, praise, joy and more.
Here’s a “how to” for the art part of this page.
You will need:
-NON-GRITTY clear gesso (I’m partial to Dina Wakley because she’s the sweetest person ever and her gesso rocks!! Art Basics by Prima is awesome too…)
-Pretty paper napkins with a white or light background.
-SRM bible journaling stickers
Step one: Choose the stickers that you want to use. Cut them out arrange them on the page.
Step two: Cut out the elements that you want to use from a napkin. Once cut, remove the two back layers of the napkin. (Removing the layers first makes it difficult to cut) Arrange the cut pieces on your page.
Step three: Remove the backing from the stickers and adhere them to your page.
Step four: Use clear gesso to adhere your napkin elements to your page. Once dry, cover them with a layer of clear gesso. Since the napkins are so easy to rip, it’s important to allow it to dry between the bottom and top layer. Use the same technique to cover a paper tab and adhere it to your page.
That’s it!! I hope you’ll give this a try!!
