Hello creative friends. This is my second project where I’m participating with 100Directions.com to bring you some crafty ideas to help you get creative during National Craft Month.
This week the theme is Fiber and Fabric Crafts and since I have recently learned how to sew I signed up for this challenge. When I say I just learned how to sew I should tell you that I barely know how to sew. I took a class to learn the basics of my machine so I would at least know how to use it. I wasn’t expecting to make anything and I was quite proud of my first project! All this to say that if you’re a beginner or have never sewn you too can do this!
I love this notebook so much and I want to start sewing many more projects because of it. I never thought I’d see the day! To make this notebook I followed this very helpful video from simplesewing. I like how the instructions are given and it was simple to make. I admit I sewed it wrong the first time and had to take it apart but the second time I paid closer attention to the directions and it worked perfectly!! I added a few cut hearts to the fabric before sewing it all together and I was pleased at how cute they look.
